Fall 2019 Training Workshops – August, 2019

The next round of Canvas workshops includes:  Advanced Canvas Gradebook, Create Eye Catching Pages in Canvas, Introduction to Canvas Quizzes.   Registration is now open.  For more information and to register, visit https://mylearning.colostate.edu

  • How to give extra credit.
  • Weight your grades by assignment groups. g. Exams 50%, Papers 25%
  • Assign an assignment to certain students in your course.
  • Drop the lowest score in an assignment group.
  • Create automatic grading for missing and late assignments.
  • Create a grading scheme for your course.
  • Calculate final letter grades for your students which at the end of the semester can be imported into ARIESweb.

In this hands on workshop, you will learn how to create and administer online quizzes in Canvas.  Quizzes can be auto graded, can be setup to allow multiple attempts, have a time limit and questions can be randomized.  Instructors can create practice quizzes to help student increase proficiency.

CSU has incorporated the Cidilabs Design Tools into Canvas.  The tools allow an instructor to create attractive course pages, quickly create multiple modules and easily update assignment due dates and availability dates.


Register for training workshops at MyLearning with your CSU eID

In MyLearning:

  1. Top right click on grid icon.
  2. Click My Learning.
  3. Click Learning Library.
  4. In the search box type: canvas
  5. At the top of the course card click Enroll.
  6. To the right of the course click Register.
  7. Click Register.
