October 2018:  CSU evaluating cloud (web) classroom response systems: iClicker Cloud and TopHat

CSU has used iClicker Classic as its classroom response system for over 10 years.  With iClicker Classic, a student purchases an iClicker remote, which interacts with an iClicker base station in a CSU classroom.  As more and more students own smart phones, laptops and tablets, the future of classroom response systems is moving into the cloud (web).

Evaluating Two Cloud Products:

CSU will evaluate and select one of these cloud based classroom response systems to use for fall 2019: iClicker Cloud or TopHat.  Each company will be on campus to provide a demonstration of their product, how it integrates with Canvas, and to answer questions faculty and students may have.  Instructors, TA’s and students will be able to provide their feedback via an online survey.
